Static rate cards and tribal-knowledge routing left margin on the table on long-haul legs and overpaid on short-haul ones. Pricing changes took weeks to propagate.
Our approach
Built a feature pipeline from existing TMS exports, trained a gradient-boosted pricing/routing model, deployed behind an API the operations team controls. We embedded with their analytics team for the rollout and trained two internal owners.
The outcome
+18% margin on the long-tail of routes, 3× faster pricing updates, and a model the in-house team owns end-to-end.
